User management

Django offers a convenient admin interface which this project utilizes. Users cannot register themselves as any user has the right to manage RadioDNS services.

Users can be designated staff or superuser and these designations allow the user to login to the admin panel. For these users a link there is placed in the navigation menu.

Permissions

While a staff user has the right to login to the admin panel they are not granted any permissions. Superuser is automatically granted all permissions. Granting permissions can be done per user or by creating a group and assigning users to that group.

The main permissions concerning the service are the radiovis | image slide and radiovis | text slide permissions for viewing and deleting slides. Creating them is not possible in the admin panel.

Additionally permissions to manage other users under the auth category may be of use. Services, bearers and images should be managed from the main user interface by any user.
